Well our cruise is over and we can't believe it went so fast. We got off the ship and took a taxi to our bed and breakfast the Hotel 59 in Kings Cross. The Kings Cross area really rocks – wall to wall bars and restaurants. In fact there's a restaurant call Two Seats right next to the hotel that serves better Thai food than any I've had at home.

After dropping off our bags we went off to the Jewish museum which was walking distance from our hotel. They don't let you take pictures inside so there are no photos. It's actually a very good museum viewing the holocaust from an Australian perspective. Did you know that an Aborigine group staged a demonstration just after Krystalnacht protesting the treatment of the Jews.

On Tuesday we took the ferry to Manley beach for fish and chips. The ferry ride was great, the fish and chips were pretty good and we found a very interesting art museum. Otherwise Manley beach is like all other beach towns.

Tuesday night we went to the opera. We saw Il Trovatore at the Sydney opera house. The performance was amazing and to see a great opera in that opera house well it was one of the highlights of the entire trip.

On Wednesday, off to the post office to ship out gifts and unneeded clothes. Then back on the ferry to Darling harbor and the Australian Maritime Museum. On our first day we bought a weekly combination pass allowing us unlimited rides on the trains, buses and ferries. We use public transport to go everywhere. We really like the ferries

After getting off the ferry we ate at the Kings Road Brewery. They have a contest going – you vote on which goes best with Fat Yak ale, a half rack of ribs or fish and chips. ( really liked the maritime museum but I think Laura was bored

On Thursday we rode the ferries and buses and then went home and packed. It was a beautiful day, in fact every day we spent in Sydney was beautiful. One thing we notice every day we were here, Sydney is a very diverse city. On the bus we usually heard three or four languages aside from English.
